Front License Plate

Picked up a top line Seltos for my daughter last week. Front license plates are required in Ontario, Canada. I needed to swap the plates and this is how I found the front plate mounted!!! I doubt it will survive more than a couple of car washes! I see older Kias with mounting brackets, but Kia Canada says they have no such thing for the Seltos. I thought all new vehicles sold in Canada had to meet all applicable Federal and Provincial regulations. Is there a solution, that will take into account the holes from these screws? This mounting hardware and location feel very delicate!!!

Just got a new SX so I guess I am in the same situation. Alaska requires both front and back plates also. Bummer!

Missouri has 2 plates as well I just got the plates today

Same here in Texas, dealer website stated that a plate bracket is added at no cost; the bracket seems to be screwing the plate to bumper. This seems to be the new normal.

Did anyone figure this out. I DON'T want to drill holes in my new can. I have heard about a mount that works with the tow hook, but haven't been able to find one anyone find one?

Found these on Amazon but i haven't bought them yet. You can clearly see just the same 2 screws that go into the bumper but the mount adds more stability.
